Guess who showed up in the Opinion Pages of the Chico Enterprise-Record today? Yes, it was us. One of our friends, Judy McKray Simmons, wrote a lovely letter to the editor about the Peg Taylor Center, and we just had to share it with you! You can read it over at ChicoER.com, and we’ve also reprinted it here. Thanks, Judy!
Letter: Center provides a tremendous service

The recent fires and hot weather have raised many concerns locally for individuals with chronic health conditions. I’d like to thank the Peg Taylor Center for being there to help by offering a cool, inviting place to spend the day and receive support.
The center serves adults ages 18 to 100-plus who need assistance with daily health needs, yet want to live in their own homes or with family. My sister has attended this inspiring nonprofit program for many years and thoroughly enjoys the welcoming and supportive atmosphere of friendship and community. She also benefits from the center’s comprehensive nursing care, therapies, lively activities and delicious lunches. A big thank-you to our entire community as well for supporting this vital program. I invite you to visit the center, which is located at 124 Parmac Road in Chico, and serves Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties. For more information or to arrange a tour, call the center at 342-2345.
